Louis and I entered kindergarten together and were friends through elementary and high school. Together, we walked the Morris Canal towpath (which we all called the canal bank), telling stories, laughing, and singing Mario Lanza's hit songs. Often, we visited Brother Alphonse Humm at Saint Bonaventure's Catholic Church. Brother Alphonse taught us the Rosary, the miraculous medal and our Catholic faith. Louis and his family will be remembered in our prayers always. A donation will be made to Catholic Charities in his memory.
