Obituary of Henry E. Capano

Capano, Henry E. "Hank" age 87 of Woodland Park at rest in Paterson on February 7, 2011. Beloved husband to the love of his life for sixty five years of the former Helen P. Roszczewski of Woodland Park. Loving Father of Kathryn M. Grosso and her husband Emil of Wyckoff, Henry R. Capano and his wife Janice of Stockton Springs, Maine, Kenneth J. Capano and his wife Jean of Old Saybrook CT., Matthew T. Capano and his wife Donna of Columbia and the late Richard A. Capano (1984). Grandfather of seventeen and Great Grandfather of eight. Dear Father in Law of Carolyn Haggerty of N.C. Beloved Cousin of Rocco Barone and Ann Mattola both of Hawthorne. Born in Paterson, he has lived in West Paterson since 1954. He was a Methods Engineer for Kearfott/General Precision Inc., West Paterson for twenty five years before retiring in 1978. Mr. Capano was a parishioner of St. Bonaventure R.C. Church, Paterson. He was a WWII Army Veteran serving in the European and American Theaters. He received the Purple Heart, the Bronze Star, the Good Conduct medal, the Victory medal and the European and American Theater medals. He was also an avid traveler having visited forty eight of the fifty states. Mr. Capano was very patriotic and his family was his focus and his home was his castle. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, on Thursday at 9:45 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. Bonaventure R.C. Church, Paterson at 10:15 AM. Interment at Laurel Grove Memorial Park, Totowa. Friends may call Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Bonaventure R.C.
