Obituary of Joseph L. Shadiack

Shadiack, Joseph L. of Paterson at rest in Ridgewood on January 14, 2009. Born in Paterson, he lived in Paterson, Hawthorne and Scottsdale Arizona before moving back to Paterson in 1994. He was the owner/proprietor of Shadiack Brothers Grocery Store, Paterson for many years before retiring in 1985. He was a parishioner of St. Brendan RC Church, Clifton. He was a highly decorated World War II Army veteran serving in the 77th Infantry Division in the Pacific Theater. He was a member of the American Legion John Raad Post, Paterson. He was an avid Yankee fan and was dedicated to his family. Beloved husband of the late and former Emily "Lee" Rabbat. Loving Father of Sharleen M. Hamilton of Haskell, Wanaque Twsp., Mary Lou Shadiack-Jones and her husband Barrett of Scottsdale, AZ, Linda Lee Wojtecki of Glen Rock and Christine B. Shadiack of Haskell, Wanaque Twsp. Cherished Grandfather of Randall W. Hamilton and his wife Nancy, Wendy R. Holt and her husband Doug, Joseph R. Wojtecki and his wife Stacy, Robert R. K. Wojtecki and his wife Jasmine and Brad and Carolease Jones. Adoring Great Grandfather of Ryan and Kasey Hamilton, Samantha and Nicholas Holt and Joey, Alexander, Christian, Luke and Evan Wojtecki. Loyal Brother of Antoinette De Stefano of Santa Fe, NM, George Shadiack and his wife Harriett of Paterson, Michael Shadiack of Paterson, Thomas Shadiack and his wife Toni of Paterson and the late Stephen and Edward Shadiack. Special Brother in Law of Doris Shadiack of Dallas, Tx., Antoinette Shadiak of Seaside Park and the late Josephine Shadiack and Paul De Stefano. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, on Wednesday at 9:15 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. Brendan's R.C.
