Although i only knew Karen through United Photo, I always looked forward to seeing her smiling face. She always had a kind word to say and a way of making people feel good. I feel my life was enriched by knowing Karen, and I feel lucky to have known her. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family, friends and fiancee.

I knew Karen from when she
worked at United Photo. I just found out from Appolo
that she had passed away.
She was always very nice to me
when I visited United and always helpful. But more, a
great inspiration. I was
aware of her illness and watched her fight it with
such strength. During that
time, my mom was losing her
battle with colon cancer although I didn't mention to
Karen. When my mom died, we
shared "MOM" stories. She
helped me alot when I had
pictures reframed of my mom.
In spite of what she was going
through, she always had a smile.
I am saddened to hear she
lost her battle, but her
memory with live on.

To Karen's family and friends,
I had only spoken to Karen by phone a few times, yet I felt very connected to her. We "met" through her Uncle Joe due to the fact that we both were dealing with breast cancer. I so regret that that we never took the time to get together. Please know that there are people praying for you and hoping that you find comfort in your memories of Karen. The picture you chose for this site is just beautiful, but even without having seen her, I knew she was beautiful. God bless you.

Karen was a loving mother, sister and daughter. She brought much joy to all of us who were blessed to have had her touch our lives. She is and will be truly missed. She was one of the kindest most caring person we have ever known. We know that Karen is in heaven with grandma and all of those who have gone to rest before her.
COME WITH ME
The Lord saw you getting tired
And a cure was not to be,
So He put his arms around you
And whispered, "Come with me."
With tearful eyes, we watched you suffer
And saw you fade away,
Although we loved you dearly,
We could not make you stay.
A golden heart stopped beating,
A beautiful smile at rest,
God broke our hearts to prove
He only takes the best.
It's lonesome here without you
We miss you so each day,
Our lives aren't the same
Since you went away.
When days are sad and lonely,
And everything goes wrong,
We seem to hear you whisper,
"Cheer up and carry on."
Each time we see your picture,
You seem to smile and say,
"Don't cry, I'm in God's keeping,
We'll meet again someday."

If this life is meant to be a place where we grow and
learn before returning home to heaven and our families and friends who have gone on before us, Karen must have gotten it right since she was called home at such an early age.

I consider myself very lucky to have known Karen. I may not have spent much time in her presence but the times I did were truly a blessing. She was the type of person that no matter what if you were around her you couldn’t help but be happy. She was full of love and life even through her most tremulous times. The courage and strength just radiated from her. She was always the first person to offer a helping hand no matter how she was feeling. She is a blessing from god to all that knew her. Heaven couldn’t have a better angel.
Some people come into our lives and quickly go.
Some move our souls to dance.
They awaken us to new understanding
with the passing whisper of their wisdom.
Some people make the sky more beautiful to gaze upon.
They stay in our lives for awhile,
leave footprints on our hearts
and we are never, ever the same.

This is a very sad day for eveyone who ever knew Karen.Sad is not a word that even comes close to describing the pain we are all feeling. She has been a dear friend to me and my family for over 15 years now and we finally had the opportunity to have her work with us at Apollo Cards since December 06... bringing us even closer. Karen will never be forgotten. She will always be missed. She was a ray of light and hope. She was full of courage and on many occasions consoled me when I was upset about her health news. She is an inspiration to me and my family.Karen never had a bad thing to say about anyone.. not a mean bone in her body . She did not deserve what has happened to her in recent years. She was a loving mother , daughter, sister, aunt , cousin and most of all... girlfriend. It has been so great to see her so happy with our friend Jimmy too.She always smiled when we talked about him and cracked on her for all the beautiful flowers he always sent her at work. She glowed with love. She always said how lucky she was to have him in her life....She lived for Gerard and Jimmy. To Jimmy and all her family....Our hearts are broken with you. We share in your sadness and pray for all of the strength it will take to get us all through this terrible time. We can talk on and on about how much we loved Karen and how she blessed our lives with lessons that no one has ever taught us before. We all have no doubt that Karen is in Heaven where she belongs... with the angels. PLease know taht our lives too will never be quite the same again.
With All Our Love and Friendship.....
