Sayde, Douglas A. of Long Beach, CA formerly of West Paterson and Hawthorne, N.J. at rest in San Pedro, CA on February 15, 2007. Beloved son of Anthony Sayde, retired Captain of the Passaic County Sheriffs Department and the late Olivia (nee Procopio) Sayde. Brother of Lisa C. Polzer, Guidance Counselor for the District of Paterson and her husband Frank. Uncle of Zachary, Olivia, Megan and Rachel Polzer. Also surviving are several Aunts and Uncles. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, on Friday at 9:30 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at Sacred Heart Armenian Catholic Church, Little Falls at 10:00 AM. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. Friends may call Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Born in Paterson, N.J. he lived in West Paterson and Hawthorne, N.J. for most of his life before moving to Long Beach, CA 16 years ago. He was a Board Certified Orthopedic Physical Therapist for Ortho Net, Long Beach, CA. for several years. Preceeding him in death was: His mother: Olivia (nee Procopio) Sayde who died in 1974. Survivors include: His father: Anthony Sayde of Hollywood, FL. A sister: Lisa C. Polzer of North Haledon, N.J. Also surviving are a Nephew, 3 Nieces, a Brother in Law and several Aunts and Uncles.
