Benedetto, Lucian Jerry of Totowa at rest in Paterson on December 25, 2006. Beloved husband of the former Marie Romeo. Father of Gerald Benedetto and Mark Benedetto. Brother of Raymond Benedetto and Olga Champagne. Grandfather of Scott, Savannah, and Trevor Benedetto. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the services at the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Friday at 10:30 AM. Committal will be private at the request of the family. For more information, go to www.festamemorial.com OBITUARY Jerry Benedetto age 84 of Totowa died Monday. Born in Hawthorne, NJ he lived in Totowa the past 65 years. He was the Owner of Jerry's Industrial Catering, West Paterson, NJ for 32 years before retiring in 1985. Mr. Benedetto was a founding member of the Totowa PAL and raised money to erect the PAL Building. He was also a baseball coach for the Totowa PAL serving in all divisions for 9 years. Mr. Benedetto worked for NASCAR (ARCA) working on race cars for the Poconos Raceway and the Daytona 500. He was a 10 year Navy veteran serving during World War II and received the Bronze Star and the Distinguished Service Medal. Survivors include his wife: The former Marie Romeo of Totowa, NJ 2 sons: Gerald Benedetto of Morris Plains, NJ Mark Benedetto of Towaco, NJ A sister: Olga Champagne of Texas A brother: Raymond Benedetto of New Vernon, NJ Also survived by 3 grandchildren.
