Father of Edward Vander Berg, Richard Vander Berg, Patrick Vander Berg, Timothy Vander Berg and Colette Sanders. Brother of Bill Vander Berg and Doug Vander Berg. Grandfather of 8 and Great grandfather of 3. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, on Thursday at 9:00 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at Notre Dame R. C. Church, North Caldwell at 10:00 AM. Interment at Laurel Grove Memorial Park, Totowa. Friends may call Tuesday 7-9 PM and Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. OBITUARY
Albert W. Vander Berg age 88 of Totowa died Sunday. Born in Little Falls he lived there then in Beaver Lake before moving to Totowa in 1952. He was a town employee for the Borough Totowa for 23 years before retiring in 1983. Mr. Vander Berg was a life member volunteer at the Lincoln Fire Co., Totowa for 55 years. He was also a life member volunteer at the Enterprise Fire Co., Little Falls. He was a member of the American Legion Post # 227, Totowa and the Passaic Valley Elks Lodge # 2111, Totowa. He was a member of the Wood Carving Club of America, Wayne and the International Air Stream Travel Trailer Club. He was a World War II army veteran.
