Dad I love you so much and I miss you more everyday, Everyone say's it gets easier but it's getting harder. There is not a day that goes by that I don't think of you. Thoughts of you make me smile because you were such a great man but tears soon come after that smile because I can still hear your voice but I can't see you or touch you and I miss that. Jake, say's uncle Sam is in heaven and he's wearing funny cloths. I know your happy now and the pain is finally gone knowing that helps us get through this, because when you were here I wished everyday I could take your pain away and you would get out of that bed and walk and be yourself again. Sarah and Nicholas still talk about their PoP. They miss you! Keep watch over us Dad we still need you! Keep an eye on Mommy she misses you desperately. Our pain of missing you will always be with us until we meet again. We Love you always! Your always in my heart.

Sam,as the final wind's blow, the mighty oak had to give up his leaves, his branches, his trunk but not his roots, because we (your entire family)are those roots. You have created a legacy to be proud of in the grace that your Wife, Son and Daughters have showed in the most difficult time they have to face.
You have taught them how to care for one another, love and help each other and most important how to carry on with their lives. We will all be judged at the end of "THIS" life by whom you have helped out, taught and loved. AND SAM YOU DID THAT. I koow you are fishing, but hope you read this when you return. Uncle Sammy~
You were a Big Man, with a Soft Heart. I am honored to be your niece and to have loved and been loved by you. I think that perhaps God only takes those of us who Live, Love, & Learn our lessons for being. You my friend, have just Lived & Learned TOO Fast for the rest of us. We were not ready for you to go.
There are but two comforts in the fact that you have sprouted your wings, (i bet they are ocean blue). . . One~ you are no longer in pain {OM}. And two, I will always know that i have the most amazing, protective angel looking over my shoulder, as well as the rest of our family.
I wish you the big fish.
I wish you peace.
In love~

I've always known Sammy as a guy impossible not to like; easy to talk to, to joke with, and most of all, a man proudest of his family.
My father and Sam knew each other "back in the day" in Paterson. On more than a few occasions, Sam would tell me of the sometimes mischievous events of their youth. Fondly remembering those conversations with Sammy, I will miss him.
To the Yodice Family with my thoughts and prayers, I offer my sincerest condolences.

I would like to light this candle for Sammy as he and I grew up together as a kid we both came from Paterson NJ , Sam was always a stand up guy if you needed anything Sam was there for you. The lord took you home with him way to soon and much to young also. My last time I saw Sam was when I called him to measure to put up two awnings for me and today they are still up he did a terrific job. He will always be remembered and a great guy with kids. R I P Gary Bartholf now in West Paterson
