Santo, Anthony Tony of Bloomingdale formerly of Totowa at rest in Wayne on August 11, 2004. Devoted husband of the late and former Florence Scully. Father of Joseph Santo and Terry Smolinsky. Grandfather of Tony, Joanne, Robyn and Mark. Great-grandfather of Gabriella and Kyle and one forth coming, Michael. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Saturday at 9:00 A.M. Funeral Mass to follow at St. Gerard RC Church, Paterson at 9:30 A.M. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. Friends may call Friday 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. OBITUARY
Anthony Tony Santo age 79 of Bloomingdale formerly of Totowa died Wednesday. Born in Plainfield, NJ he lived in Totowa for most of his life before moving to Bloomingdale 1 year ago. He was a Building Maintenance Supervisor for New Jersey State Police, Totowa, NJ for 22 years before retiring this year. Prior to that he was in the trucking industry for Teamsters Local #560, Secaucus for 25 years before retiring in 1983. Mr. Santo was a World War II Army veteran and he received the American Theater Ribbon, the Good Conduct Medal, the Purple Heart Victory Medal, and the European-African-Middle Eastern Theater Ribbon. He was predeceased by his wife Florence (nee Scully) in 1982.
