Scarnaty, Francis "Fran" P. age 71 of Totowa at rest in Paterson on September 18, 2012. Beloved husband of 48 years of the former Rose Vancheri of Totowa. Loving Father of Christine Viscito & her husband, Rocco of Alexandria Township, Deborah Morello & her husband, Nicholas of Woodland Park and Frank J. Scarnaty & his wife, Domenica of Ringwood. Brother of Peter Scarnaty & his wife, Helen of Fair Lawn, William Scarnaty & his wife, Nancy of Woodland Park, Raymond Scarnaty & his wife, Marilyn of Tobyhanna, PA. and Rose Marie Guarente & her husband, William of Henderson, NV. Grandfather of Nicholas, Martino, Maggie, Frankie, Alexandria, and Serina. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Born in Paterson, he moved to Totowa 13 years ago. He was a Carpenter for the City of Paterson, Department of Public Works for 12 years before retiring in 2006. Fran was a supervisor for the Union Local #3474, City of Paterson and was a parishioner of St. James R.C. Church, Totowa. He was an avid Yankee and Giants Fan. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Saturday at 9:00 AM. Funeral mass to follow at St. James R.C. Church, Totowa at 9:30 AM. Entombment to follow at Laurel Grove Memorial Park Mausoleum. Friends may call Friday 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
