Scala, Viola Y. (nee Garofalo) of Haledon at rest in Wayne on September 1, 2003. Devoted wife of the late Charles A. Scala. Mother of Ann Delling. Sister of Joseph Garofalo and the late Mario Garofalo Adeline Nardin, Carmella Garofalo, and Antoinette Connor. Mother in law of the late Arthur Delling. Grandmother of Ann Delling Higgins, and her husband Michael, and Sharon Delling OConnor and her husband John. Great Grandmother of Sarah, Sean, Mathew and Brianna. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, on Thursday at 9:15 am. A Funeral Mass to follow at St. Pauls R.C. Born in Paterson, NJ she lived in Paterson most of her life before moving to Haledon 6 years ago. She was a Homemaker. Preceeding her in death was her husband: Charles A. Scala 3 sisters: Adeline Nardin, Carmella Garofalo, and Antoinette Connor a brother: Mario Garofalo and a son-in-law: Arthur Delling Survivors include: a daughter: Ann Delling of Haledon, NJ 1 brother: Joseph Garofalo of Clifton, NJ Also survived by 2 Granddaughters and 4 great-grandchildren.
