The world’s greatest grandmother,
I have the world’s greatest grandmother, many a sign, tee shirt or other novelty item make such a claim. Perhaps, depending on your perspective this is true for all the grandchildren out there.
But I know it to be true for mine. Emma Marchitto, quite simply is one of the greatest individuals this world has ever know.
Why? Is due to some great deed or life altering invention, No nothing like that. It is more an innovation; she gave us the ability to love more. How? It is the term heart. She cared simply for others to be happy and did so with personality
A woman who was selfless, always kind, wanted nothing but the best for everyone. She gave this world something it often lacks, selflessness, not just for family, but for friends and even strangers as well. In her last days, she would ask others when you are coming again to see me. Not because she craved the attention ,or feared being alone, no but she wanted to put on a brave face and not be in bed , greet her visitors and appear stronger than she was. Why, so others would not worry, it is this selflessness that will always endure and is a small sample of the greatness of this woman.
Bad things happen to good people all the time, but good people do not do bad things. Never once did I hear her say why me? Why does one who has been so good all of her life, have to suffer? Her kind heart kept beating to the end.
She inspired us to be kind, with her way of being. Nana brought an entire family together, and kept it that way. Lets keep her spirit alive and our family together, be good to others and never forget what she has given us “The Marchitto Clan, and others. Her heart is beating still, think of her, look inside yours and it will be felt. Now and forever.

It is hard to put into words what a wonderful person Emma is and was. My Mother Law was more like my mother, since my Mother did not raise me.
Everyone in life should experience a mother in Law such as Emma. Through thick and thin steady as a rock
and never waivered in being a great Wife, Mother, Mother in law, Grandmother and Great Grandmother.
She was a very special wife to my Father In law-her patience and understanding through is 18 months of recovery from is wounds at Normandy beach during WW2, to the extensive care she also gave Nick the last years of his life makes her a hero or a saint.
Emma was the family Matriarch and will be sadly missed.
Everyone who new Rosemarie's
Mom will always say "Loved by all who knew her " and never had a bad thing to say about anyone.
Thanks again Emma for being the best Mother. I will miss you but never ever forget you.
Also Emma your daughter Rosemarie follows in you footsteps, and in your own words Rosemarie is terrific and her children and your Grandchildren Jack, Michael and Dayna owe it all to you

I am so grateful that I was able to spend 36 years with an amazing woman known as my grandmother. It may seem to some that 36 years is a long time, but they didn't know my nana. She brought so much joy and so many good times to all the lives she touched. My life is full of memories of her that I will always hold close to my heart. I can't wait for my daughter to grow older so that I can share these memories with her and re-live them all over again. She will know what a loving woman her great-grandmother was.
I love you Nana and miss you already. xoxo
