Miyasato, Elena, age 90, of Paterson, at rest in Lincoln Park on January 11, 2025. Born in Lima, Peru, Elena was the beloved daughter of the late Jose and Pascuala (nee Calderon) Miyasato. She immigrated to the United States and made her home in Paterson, where she became the cornerstone of her family.
As the matriarch of the Miyasato family, Elena devoted her life to her loved ones, always putting their needs first and offering unwavering support. Her boundless love and dedication were felt by everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
She was the cherished sister of Antonio Miyasato, Norma Quintana, and the late Noboru, Reinaldo, Alejandro, Julio, Rosa, Isamo, and Angel Miyasato. Her legacy lives on through her nephews Edward and James Miyasato, along with countless other nieces and nephews who adored her.
Elena worked tirelessly as a seamstress in Paterson's factories for many years before retiring. She found joy in cheering for the Peruvian soccer team, always proud of her heritage. Her strength, selflessness, and love for her family will forever be remembered.
Relatives and friends may visit the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, on Friday from 4-8 PM. Cremation will be private. Elena's absence leaves a profound void in the hearts of her family, but her spirit as a devoted matriarch will continue to guide and inspire them.
