Obituary of Theresa Leitner

Leitner, Theresa (nee Simon), age 89 of Parsippany at rest in Morristown on October 23, 2024. Beloved wife of the late Joseph Leitner (1974). Loving mother of Richard Leitner & his wife Donna of Lake Hiawatha, and Maryann Tukes & her husband Michael of Bloomfield. Dear grandmother of Matthew & his wife Lindsay, Nicholas & his Fiancee Carolyn, Michael, Michelle & Matt and Megan. Devoted sister or Johanna Fodi of North Haledon and the late Peter Simon. Survivors include many nieces and nephews.

Born in Hungary, she lived in Germany before coming to the United States in 1956, where she resided in Wayne, Paterson, Bloomingdale and Oak Ridge before moving to Parsippany in 2023. Theresa was a beautician and after that, she was a Line Worker for Estee Lauder, Oakland before retiring 27 years ago. Theresa liked to sew, croche and knit. She was a member of the Oak Ridge Seniors Citizens Club. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services at the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Monday at 11:00 AM. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. Friends may visit Sunday 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm.
