Shocked to hear of Chris passing. I knew Chris from Passaic Valley, he was in my homeroom. He was always friendly and greeted everyone with a smile.once again, a stark reminder of the short amount of time we’re given on this earth. A reminder to love the people that God gives us because one day he’ll take them back. May he be at peace in the arms jesus.
I just wrote this for Chris as I knew him back in our youth but living out of state, you tend to lose touch with so many old friends.
What can i give you
now my friend
As life on earth
comes to an end
A bouquet of flowers
Or plant a tree
in a field of green
A cherished memory
on a facebook page
for the whole wide world to read
I could have done
so much more
I could have been there
years before
I could have been
a closer friend
Its too late
Once life comes to an end
We live and learn
From our mistakes
Life’s all about
Those give and takes
Things we did,
things we said,
The things we can’t
un do or say
All I can do is kneel and pray
I know you’re in
A better place
Somewhere between
Time and space
I know you’re free
From life’s embrace
we’ll meet again
In another time and place
Rest in peace old friend

I am so sorry for this loss. My prayers are with the family. I have know Chris since elementary school. He called me Midge right thru HS.. I have fond memories of him with all of us Totowa kids growing up when life was so simple. I am glad I remained in touch with him through the years. Having lunch a few years ago and recently chatting a few months ago. He was so kind and pleasant so full of life. He will be missed. May you begin your journey Chris in paradise. We will always remember you always. Maria Minardi aka Midge

Our deepest condolences and love to all of you. We have been blessed with the best neighbors anyone could ask for, 21 years in the making. The running jokes about the weather ( I love warm, he loves cold), asking me when am I going to start making Christmas cookies, Christmas Eve dessert,
helping each other shovel out after the plows went through, HIS parking space in front of our house, and how upset he got when someone else parked there, always made me chuckle. Give mom a hug for us.
Catch ya later Chris, you're gonna be missed.
Much love Doug & El

What can I say about someone who has been a big part of my life for over half a century? Chris was like a brother to me. He was an incredibly social being who went out of his way to make everyone in his path feel comfortable. His humor knew no bounds and his jokes and skits will be remembered and recounted endlessly. His presence will be sorely missed. With love and profound sorrow, Gigi/Georgia Routsis Savas and Damon Savas.
