What can we say about our Mom.
Well just the fact that she put up with my Dad for almost 70 years tells you want kind of woman she was!
She was a loving, caring, nurturing Wife, Mother, Mother-in-Law, Grandmother and Great Grandmother.
She raised 4 children, had 16 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren. She was lucky enough to see all 4 of her kids get married (some of us twice) and 5 of her Grandchildren not many people can say that!
She worked many jobs over the years but her favorite job was watching all her Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.
She always said what was on her mind with no filter attached, but it always came from a place of love. She gave the best advice but it was not always what we wanted to hear but always knew she was right.
She was an excellent cook especially for her eggplant parm and her icebox cake, but we stopped her from making that when she used the wrong flavored pudding but swore it was the right one!
She was great vacation planner. In 1977 she planned a family cross country vacation with just a paper map from AAA and a pen. These days we can’t even go around the corner without a GPS. The trip lasted 30 days we went the Northern Route and came back the Southern route. She had every stop planned out for gas, lodging and all the tourist attractions we were going to stop at along the way.
She loved playing games with all her friends at Summerhill so much that sometimes we would take her out and she would say “ I need to get back home to play my games”.
Every Friday and Saturday night her and my Dad would go to the Cinema Pub in Totowa with my Grandmother and Grandfather that is where I met my beautiful wife Bird. My Grandfather is the one who pointed her out to me and said “Joey look at the tata’s on her” and as I was leaving my Mother said “Make sure you make it home to you own bed Son” and Bird said “Who is that Bitch” and I said that is my MOM!
She was clean freak! When we lived on Emerson Ave in Paterson my mother would make us do Spring Cleaning which involved washing down all the walls inside the house and making us clean a cubby hole that was located in our garage. I remember one day she called us all down to the garage to clean it out and Lisa said I am not going in there with all those spiders and she left, I had already left and Debbie and Peter got stuck doing the dirty job.
She love spending time with all of us and making memories. One of her favorite traditions was making the Anisette cookies with all the girls in the family. Amber asked her for the recipe a few years ago and attempted to make them herself and Mom accidently wrote down to use 8 cups of baking powder instead of 1/8 a cup and when they were done they were like rocks and we never let her hear the end it and always teased her about it the next year! All the girls promised to continue the tradition in her honor.
We can go on and on with all the memories we made with her and She loved each and everyone of us in her own special way and we can all go on knowing we all have those special memories of spending time with her.
We were lucky enough to have our Mom and Dad for as long as we did and I know my Father is waiting up there for her and the first time he sees her is going to say “What the hell took you so long”!
Mom we love you and miss you. Give Dad a big hug from all of us! Until we meet again.

To all of the Miceli family,
My heart breaks for all of you, especially so soon after losing your dad. I certainly know how that feels having just experienced that a few short years ago. It is never easy.
Cousin Bobbie, You will be very much missed. I have always admired how much you did for your family and with your family. Your legacy will live on and everyone of your family members. Rest easy now, sweet cousin.
Love, Lori and Rick
