We met Ray through KIϟϟ related events over the years. We always appreciated seeing Ray’s smile and enjoyed our conversations about our favorite band. Simply put, Ray was a genuine, warm person that had a special way of connecting with people. RIP brother.
The photo is us with Ray at a KIϟϟ show in Baltimore on 11/29/23 and was the last time we had with Ray.

I just found out this morning that Ray passed away last week, and it really knocked me for a loop. We haven't spoken or seen each other in a while, but he was and always will be one of my best friends. We had many great times together growing up and I will miss his great smile and sense of humor. I wasn't the biggest KISS fan at first, but whenever we went out, the tunes were on and we had the best of times. You were one of kind and will be truly missed. RIP !!

I don't remember the first time I met Ray because he just seemed to always be there and I mean that in the best way possible. Maybe it was that way for you as well. He just popped into my life one day many years ago and was just part of the circle. That's who he was. If you met him, he probably became your friend, because he had massive circles of friends who became his extended family.
He had his friends from pro wrestling, his friends from Kiss, his friends from autograph shows like Chiller Theater, from concerts, from Yankee games. This guy had friends from everywhere but most importantly, he had a really great family that was his support staff that he loved so much and talked and posted about all the time online - and I am so sorry for all of them, because they truly had a great person in their life 24/7, every day.
If you were lucky enough to know Ray, he was the type of person who was always thoughtful for others. If he could do something for you, he would do three times as much as anyone else would have humanely thought about. He was always calling and texting if he had something that he thought could be helpful for you or wanted to tell you about an event or wanted to offer to help you out and do something for you. If there was an event or something fun going on with a band you liked, he would be the first person to tell you. He was there for a lot of important things in my life and I was always so thankful that he was.
There are quite a few WWE stars who got great deals on their cell phone plans because when he worked for T-Mobile, he helped them out just because he loved pro wrestling and was a nice guy like that. He was inside the inner circle of Kiss and had a ton of friends in their organization. I always thought of him and the Chiller Theater conventions in New Jersey as one because he was always there helping someone out. He didn’t just love something, he was part of the DNA of what he loved - and never made it about himself. He was just happy to be in the moment.
Ray was an amazing person, who didn’t have a bad bone in his body. I don’t think I ever heard him speak ill of anyone else. He wanted to go to his concerts, get his autographs and watch wrestling and sports. He was the type of person who made you more excited about the things you liked, because he had such a great, positive, upbeat attitude about everything and everyone. In a world where we can all be cynical, he wasn’t the glass half-full guy, he was the guy who saw an endless line of full glasses. He made everyone around him better with his kindness and thoughtfulness, and never expected anything in return. It was just who he was.
I am really thankful that over the last year or so since he became ill that we were able to go to a few wrestling shows together and that I got to tell him how much he meant to me in a few of our last text exchanges. I got to hang with him before the final Kiss shows in MSG, which I knew he was excited to be at as he was a massive member of their army. I last saw Ray at Wrestlemania weekend in Philly as I was leaving a WWE media event that just happened to be at the same hotel he was staying in. He was really tired and I know his fight was getting rougher, but I’m thankful for that timing, because I got to tell him I loved him in person.
There’s a great Kiss song titled “I Was Made For Loving You.”
We are all really damn lucky, because that dude loved us all. There aren’t many people in life with the level of class and just pure good that lived in his soul.
I really hope Ray knows how much we loved him too, and how no one could ever replace him - his spirit, his positivity and just what a wonderful soul he was. I won't ever think of ECW or wrestling or concerts without thinking of Ray. He's embedded on our souls in the best way possible
We love you Ray. If we are lucky, we will see you again. Thanks for lighting the way and showing us how we should all live our lives...with love and happiness.

There aren't enough words to describe how great of a person Ray was and our 40 year friendship was very special. Life will never be the same without you. We did so much together from going through school and college together to the countless nights out to the years of going to Jets and Yankee games. There are too many other things to list but we had so many special times together and made lots of memories that will last a lifetime. Prayers to your family who treated me like family. Til we meet again..

I met Ray during the height of the Walking Dead craze (2015-2016). We were one of many fans waiting for the cast outside of an event and it was a hectic crowd. Between the aggressive graphers, Ray was one of the friendlies in the crowd. We would run into each other at other events, and we swapped jokes about our Filipino heritage here and there. He was hardset on getting an autograph from Jeffrey Dean Morgan, being a Walking Dead comic book fan and Negan fan. We exchanged friendly banter about how much he loved JDM/Negan and my admiration for Steven Yeun (Glenn). Ray and I became friends on Facebook and that’s where I learned how much he loved KISS. His pics from various events made you feel young, as he lived an exciting life seeing the celebs and musicians he loved. I have lost count how many famous people Ray has had a chance to meet, and some who became his friends. And he was just as respectful to them as he was to his friends. I hope his family can find some joy reading these stories about him. The tributes are a beauty in a dark moment. We will miss Ray. My condolences to the Ricarort family.

Ray-We travelled many miles together for signings, WWE shows, KISS concerts, and conventions. Nobody navigated the traffic in NYC calmer than you. We met 20 years ago, on June 16, 2004 at Sebastian Bach's signing at Vintage Vinyl. It was great knowing you and meeting so many of our heroes together, from the 1966 Batman cast to KISS, and hundreds of professional wrestlers. I don't know a bigger Superfly Jimmy Snuka or KISS fan! This picture of Gene Simmons is from when we saw KISS at Saratoga Springs in 2010! One of my favorite memories with you. RIP!

One of my best friends Ray Ricafort. I met Ray back in '98 at a sports bar in Totowa NJ watching Sunday football. I heard him always talking about the JETS, KISS, and the WWF. I said either I have to meet this guy or marry him, lol. We developed a friendship that has lasted over 25 years. We experienced our ups and downs in life together but always could depend on each other. Hard to come across people like him. I will miss our times together but have the memories to always look back on. Thanks Ray for being like a brother to me. Love you my friend.
