Obituary of Jan B. Thomas

Thomas, Jan B. age 69 of Paterson at rest in Paterson on January 14, 2024. Beloved husband of Connie (nee Polidori) Thomas. Dear son of his chosen parents, the late Eleanor and Peter Polidori. Brother-in-law of Peter Polidori and his wife Lisa, Ellie Cox and her husband Michael, Freddy Polidori and his wife Karen, and the late Michael Polidori. Son of the late William Thomas and the late Rose (nee Egbert) Thomas.  Brother of Stephen Thomas, Mark Thomas, Paul Thomas, Chuck Kratochvil and his wife Evelyn and the late Stan Thomas and Georgia Klinger. Dear friend of Clint Meyers and his wife Theresa. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews, who he loved dearly. Born in Paterson, he was a lifelong city resident. He was a very talented union carpenter for Union Local #253, Edison, for twenty-five years, before retiring in 2019. He was loved by all he worked with. Jan always went to the bike blessing and enjoyed riding with Msgr. Mark Giordani. He was a true American patriot. He loved classic cars, muscle cars, and enjoyed attending car shows. He had a 1960 Dodge and loved 392 hemi engines. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Friday at 9:30 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. Gerard R.C. Church, Paterson at 10:00 AM. Cremation at Cedar Lawn Crematory, Paterson. Friends may visit Thursday 4:00-8:00 PM.
