Obituary of Rose Marie Picarelli

Picarelli, Rose Marie (nee Porco), age 92 of Totowa at rest in Totowa on December 19, 2023.  Beloved wife of the late Anthony “Tony” Picarelli (2008).  Loving mother of Domenic Picarelli and his wife Mary of Totowa and Susan Reilly of Long Valley. Adoring grandmother of Anthony Picarelli and his wife Jamie of Totowa, Matthew Picarelli and his wife Erica of Cedar Grove, Joseph Reilly of Trenton, Dr. David Reilly of Los Angeles, CA, and Grace Reilly of Long Valley.  Dear grandmother-in law of Olivia Filip of Montclair. Doting great-grandmother of Alice Reilly of Montclair, Rose Picarelli of Totowa, and Cameron Picarelli of Cedar Grove. Sister of the late Louis Porco (1966).  She is also survived by loving nieces and nephews and her beloved caregiver, Ettery Bhrapmashvili.  Born and raised in the Singac section of Little Falls, she moved to Totowa in 1955.  She graduated from Passaic Valley High School, Little Falls in 1948, and then the Wilfred Academy of Beauty, Newark.  She was a hairdresser for various salons in the area for many years before retiring in 2007.  Mrs. Picarelli was a parishioner of St. James R.C. Church, Totowa, and a member of its Rosary Altar Society.  She was the recipient of the Angel of Light Award for all the work she did at St. James. She was also a member of the Totowa Seniors. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral mass at St. James RC Church, Totowa on Thursday at 10:00 AM.  Please meet directly at church. Interment to follow at Laurel Grove Cemetery, Totowa.  Visitation is private at the request of the family.  In lieu of flowers, donations to VHS Hospice, 783 Riverview Drive, Totowa, New Jersey 07512, would be appreciated.
