Obituary of Antonia Ippolito

Ippolito, Antonia "Antonietta" (nee Costa), age 93 of Totowa at rest in Totowa on December 16, 2023. Beloved wife of the late Domenico Ippolito (2016). Loving mother of Raffaele Ippolito and his wife Vera of Denville and Giuseppe Ippolito and his wife Dianne of Linden. Dear grandmother of Antonia Ippolito-Calderone, Raffaele Ippolito, Domenico Ippolito and Giuseppe Ippolito. Great grandmother of Lucia Antonia Calderone. Sister of Pasqualina Armagno of Wayne, Matilde Sabatino of Totowa, Nicola Costa of Wayne and the late Elena Trafuoci (2016). Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. Born in Sant' Arsenio, Prov. di Salerno, Italy she came to the U.S.A. in 1971 settling in Paterson before moving to Totowa twenty eight years ago. She was a Seamstress for Style Sportswear, Paterson for many years before retiring in 1995. Antonia was a member of the I.L.G.W.U., New York, NY. She made her own coats and blankets. She was a parishioner of St. James R.C. Church, Totowa. She was an avid vegetable gardener and enjoyed tending to it. Antonia was a great cook, known for her Fusilli pasta, her homemade Mozzarella and her Struffoli. She was also a great baker famous for her Christmas delights. She cherished her grandchildren and any time that she had to spend with them. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd. Totowa on Friday, Dec.22, 2023 at 9:15 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. James R.C. Church, Totowa at 10:00 AM. Entombment to follow at Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum, Paterson. Friends may visit Thursday, Dec. 21, 2023 from 4:00-8:00 PM.
