Filosa, Barbara age 81 of Sayreville at rest in Ridgewood on November 26, 2023. Beloved wife of the late James Filosa. Loving mother of Susan Brino and her husband Joseph. Adoring grandmother of James Enright and Jessica Brino. Loving aunt of Michael Scarpa and his husband John Mattioli. Dear sister and sister-in-law of the late Carol & Joseph Scarpa and the late Maud Gloddy. Born in Jersey City, she lived in Jersey City before moving to Sayreville 27 years ago. She was a supervisor of Human Resources for Fitch Rating Services, New York City, NY for 20 years before retiring in 2014. Mrs. Filosa loved vacationing in Disney with her family, and Atlantic City with her sister and brother in-law. She was always up for trying out a new restaurant and she loved and lived for her family. She was a big animal lover, and had many dogs over the years. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Saturday at 8:30 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. Bonaventure RC Church, Paterson at 9:00 AM. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. Friends may visit Friday 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM.
