Obituary of Giuseppina Di Martino

Di Martino, Giuseppina (nee Arrabito), age 89 of Paterson at rest in West Caldwell on November 2, 2023. Beloved wife of the late Giuseppe Di Martino (2002). Loving mother of Annamarie Valente and her husband Joseph of West Caldwell and the late Dominick Di Martino (2023). Dear mother in law of Joanne (nee Forgione) Di Martino of Woodland Park. Dear grandmother of Joseph, Stephen and John Paul Valente and Alessia, Joseph and Julia Di Martino. Sister of Giuseppe Arrabito and Nunziatina La Terra, both of Italy. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. Born in Santa Croce Camerina, Prov. di Ragusa, Sicily, Italy, she came to the U.S.A. in 1972 settling in Paterson. She was a Seamstress for Various Coat Factories in Paterson for many years before retiring in 1998. Mrs. Di Martino was a parishioner of St. James R.C. Church, Totowa and was a former parishioner of St. Anthony's R.C. Church, Paterson. Giuseppina was a member of the I.L.G.W.U., New York, NY. She was the most amazing people person. She was very compassionate and giving and loved cooking Italian specialties. Giuseppina enjoyed knitting and tending to her floral and vegetable garden. She cherished any time spent with her family and grandchildren, especially during the holidays. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, on Monday, November 6, 2023 at 9:15 AM. Funeral mass to follow at St. James R.C. Church, Totowa at 10:00 AM. Entombment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery Mausoleum, East Hanover. Friends may visit Sunday, November 5, 2023 from 4-8 PM.
