Obituary of Thomas P. Adams
Thomas P. Adams, age 68 of Paterson, passed away on October 14, 2023 in Paterson. Tom was a loving father to Emily Adams of Pompton Plains, a dear brother to Kenneth Adams of Clifton, and an adoring uncle of Alexa and Alana Adams of Clifton. He was the beloved son of the late Thomas J. and the late Evelyn (nee Teijeiro) Adams. Tom was born and raised in Paterson. He was football star throughout his childhood and was a graduate of Paterson Catholic High School. Later on in life, Tom moved to Pompton Plains where he settled down and raised his daughter. He loved living in Pompton Plains and resided there for over 25 years. Tom was the hardworking owner of Lodi Cash Register Corporation in Lodi for over 50 years. He was an avid sports lover; you could find him tuned into every game on football Sundays. He was a devoted Jets and Yankees fan. Tom enjoyed hosting holidays at his house and cooking for his loved ones. Tom was very friendly and family oriented, and cherished being surrounded by people who meant the most to him. Tom enjoyed fishing with his daughter, who he taught how to fish when she was a child. Tom was a Son of American Legion Post #174, Wayne. Tom had the biggest heart and will be deeply missed by his many friends and family. A visitation for Tom will be held on Wednesday, October 18th, from 4-8 PM at Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa. Family and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, on Thursday, October 19th, at 9:30 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. James RC Church, Totowa at 10:00 AM. Cremation will be private at the request of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations in Tom's memory may be made to the American Heart Association.
