Obituary of Evelina M Grosso

Grosso, Evelina "Evelyn" M. (nee Salomone), age 97 of Totowa at rest in Wayne on September 13, 2023. Beloved wife of the late Angelo Grosso (2010). Loving mother of Adelaide Fiorarancia and her husband Giovanni of Totowa, Michael Grosso and his wife Alexis of Woodland Park, Emil Grosso and his wife Kathryn of Wyckoff and the late Adriana Agnihotri. Dear mother-in-law of Vincent Agnihotri of Franklin Lakes. Also survived by 11 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Born in Cetraro, Prov. di Cosenza, Italy, she came to the United States in 1962 and resided in Totowa. Evelyn was a seamstress for various coat factories in Paterson for many years before retiring in 1989. She was a parishioner of St. James R.C. Church, Totowa and enjoyed tending to her vegetable garden and sharing the bounty with the neighborhood. She was a great cook and also cherished time spent with her family, eleven grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Saturday at 9:30 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. James R.C. Church, Totowa at 10:00 AM. Entombment at Laurel Grove Memorial Park Mausoleum, Totowa. Friends may visit Friday 4:00 - 8:00 PM.
