Obituary of Theresa M Suarez

Suarez, Theresa M. “Terry” (nee Mirrer) born on December 18, 1958 – passed away on August 3, 2023, after a long illness. 

Loving and devoted Mother of Jose M. Suarez (her Sonshine).

She was predeceased by her loving husband, Jose L. Suarez (2021), her mother: Joyce M. Garsia (2013), her father John Mirrer Jr. (2007), her brother John David Mirrer (2011), and her great-niece Serenity Dolan (2005).

Dear sister of Linda Curry and husband Thomas, Cynthia Cherry and husband Millard, Sandra Mayberry and husband Kevin, Maryjane Cox and husband Roger.

Dear Aunt of Joseph Mirrer, Nerissa Mirrer, Tomara Whitaker, Jaime Rodriguez, William D. Mirrer, Amanda Rodriguez, Thomas Curry Jr., Teila Curry, Tailyn Curry, Sheila Mirrer, Ariel Mirrer, Jeffrey Cox and Emily Cox. 

She is also survived by Great nephews:  Jason Mirrer, EvanWhitaker, Tristan Mirrer, Eric Whitaker, Thomas Curry III, Trevor Curry, Tyler Curry and Great niece: Kylie Mirrer.  She leaves behind her beloved dog Becky. 

Born in Westwood, New Jersey, she grew up in Paterson, married and moved to Totowa, New Jersey before moving to West Milford, New Jersey, 16 years ago. 

She was a dedicated employee of City of Paterson for 28 years and Payroll Supervisor for the last 13 years of her employment there, before retiring in 2021.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service at Festa Memorial Home, 111 Union Blvd.; Totowa, New Jersey on Wednesday, August 9, 2023 at 6:45 p.m. Friends may visit for a memorial gathering on Wednesday, August 9, 2023 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. 

In lieu of flowers, donations are being accepted and appreciated to assist her son’s journey without her. 

Cremation was private at the request of the family.
