Obituary of George Louis Greco

Greco, George Louis age 64 of Toms River at rest in Philadelphia, PA on May 8, 2023. Beloved husband of Barbara (nee Jaouen) Greco of Toms River. Loving father of Michael Florkiewicz and his wife Lauren and Steven Florkiewicz and his wife Lynne. Adoring grandfather of Elizabeth, Joseph, and Eileen. Dear son of the late Anthony and the late Mary (nee Fardice) Greco. Brother of Mark Greco and his wife Roxanne, John Greco and his wife Denise and Anthony Greco and his wife Patti. Brother-in-law of Diane Barnes and Diane Jaouen. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Born in Hackensack, he grew up in Wood-Ridge, then lived most of his life in Paterson before recently moving to Toms River. He was a Contract Analyst for Becton Dickinson, Franklin Lakes, for over 10 years before retiring in 2021. George was an avid outdoorsman & fisherman. He loved crabbing on his boat (The Reel Crabby 2) with his many friends and family. He enjoyed bird watching, winning the Passaic County "Birdie 30" while in Paterson and most of all cooking incredible meals for every occasion to everyone's delight and taste. He touched so many lives and made friends where ever he was. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial gathering at the Festa Memorial Funeral Home 111 Union Blvd., Totowa on Saturday, May 20th from 1 PM to 5 PM with a memorial service at 3 PM. Cremation is private at the request of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Vascular Intensive Care Unit, HUP-Pavilion, 7 Campus & 7 Center and/or the Bergen County Audubon Society.
