Obituary of Timothy & Luba Wells

Wells, Timothy age 71 and Luba (nee Czerniawskyj) age 69, both of Totowa at rest in Hackensack on February 21, 2023. Loving parents of Timothy Wells, Jr. of Totowa. Timothy is the dear son of the late Walter and the late Genevieve (nee Dowling) Wells. Luba is the loving daughter of the late Nikolai Czerniawskyj and the late Daria Zlenko. Timothy is the dear brother of Jane Reardon and her husband Richard, Walter Wells, Bonnie Romaine and her husband Nelson, Bryan Wells and his wife Robin, Jeff Wells and his wife Barbara, Cindy Thomson and her husband Glenn, Laure Meyer and her husband Casey, Roy Wells and his wife Nancy, Chad Wells and his wife Kim, and the late Bernadette Dockray and her late husband Ken. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Luba is the dear sister of Nadja Hicks of Georgia and Nicholas Czerniawskyj of Paterson. Tim was born in Totowa, and was a lifelong resident. He received his bachelor's degree from Quincy College in Illinois. Tim soon after began his career, dedicating 38 years to public service with the State of NJ Probation Division, Passaic Vicinage. He retired in 2013 as a Supervising Probation Officer.  In his retirement, Tim was actively involved in the community, and the work of St James Church. He also worked for McMaster’s Florist, Totowa, and Philip Dicristina’s Art of Fine Flowers, Woodland Park. Luba was born in Paterson and lived most of her life in Totowa. She was a graduate of Berkley Institute in Woodland Park and worked in an administrative capacity in various business industries until retiring. She was an avid reader and generously donated books to local affiliations.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend their funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, on Monday at 9:15 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. James RC Church, Totowa at 10:00 AM. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. Friends may visit Sunday 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM.
