Obituary of Maria E Trinidad

Maria Trinidad - loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother – entered her eternal life on November 18 at the age of 84 in Paterson, NJ. Maria was born to Eloy Guerrero and Agustina Domingues in Piura, Peru and in 1972 was the first of her family to immigrate and settle in the United States. She worked diligently for 20 years at the Nesor Alloy Corporation, and tirelessly strived to create a successful future for her family. Throughout her life, Maria loved watching her family grow. She was a proud and devoted matriarch, and especially adored spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her children: Juanita Ponce, Sergio Ponce, Maritza (Luis) Trinidad, and Luis (Juliet) Trinidad, her grandchildren: Steven, Ashley, Maria Isabel, Maria, Cindy, Britni, Briany, Brandon, Luis Jr., and Xander, and her great-grandchildren: Jaden, Alaies, Alexius, Enzo, Theodore, A'reeal, Charlotte, Giovani, and Aysia. Maria will join her loving daughter, Silvia Miller, in heaven. She is also survived by her siblings: Juan, Domitila, Petronila, Yolanda, Manuel, Angelina, Jose. Maria had a true love of music; she would often sing and dance along to her favorite songs, always with a big smile and a laugh. That laughter was familiar to everyone who knew her, she had a witty and engaging sense of humor. She was happiest to be surrounded by her family, taking great pleasure in cooking for them, occasionally sneaking a treat to the kids. Maria's family will fondly remember the little details that brought her joy, like her Dunkin light and sweet cafecito, praying the rosary, and watching her evening telenovelas. Her legacy for generations will be one of faith, courage, and endurance. She will be missed deeply. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Saturday at 8:45 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. Mary's RC Church, Paterson at 9:15 AM. Interment at Fair Lawn Cemetery, Fair Lawn. Friends may visit Friday 4:00 - 8:00 PM.
