Obituary of Ernesto L Vilchez

Vilchez, Ernesto L. age 87 of Clifton at rest in Paterson on September 11, 2022. Beloved husband of Zoraida (nee Bayona) Vilchez. Loving father of Carmen R. "Chany" Bellomo and her husband Nicolas, Daniel Vilchez and his wife Maria and Victor L. Vilchez and his wife Jannet. Dear grandfather of Stephanie Kenny and her husband Bryan, Emily Bellomo, Enrique Morales, Jr., and Janelle Morales. Also survived by the Vilchez family in Peru. Born in Lima, Peru, he came to the United States in 1964 and resided in Paterson before moving to Clifton. He was a textile worker for Leader Dye House Textiles, Paterson for thirty-five years before retiring. Ernesto was an active parishioner of St. John's Cathedral, Paterson and was a eucharistic minister there. He and his wife were leaders of the marriage encounter and also volunteered at the church library. Ernesto was devoted to the Blessed Mother. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. John's Cathedral, 381 Grand Street, Paterson, on Tuesday at 10:00 AM. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. In lieu of flowers, donations to Shriners Hospitals for Children, 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, Fl 33607-1460 would be appreciated.
