Uncle Mike, I remember the Mets, hot peppers, cold beers and you watching the game. I tried my first and last hot pepper with you. I loved the way you spoke and was very proud of you. I’m sure there is a big party in heaven, tell everybody hi for me. Love ya Meg

Growing up we lived together, we fought, we laughed, we cried together. We shared our dreams and plans, and some secrets too. I remember nights when I would hear you and Paul coming into my room and whispering “Abby, you awake” well of course I was then. You would sit at the bottom of my bed and tell me about what you were up to before coming home, or you just wanted to talk before turning in. There are so many memories and I’m just touching on a few. Like how happy you were to be an Altar Boy (for a short time), when older how proud you were to be a Marine and older still a Fireman, but nothing compared to or made you happier than playing Santa at Christmas time. You loved seeing the children’s faces light up when Santa appeared.
Mike, you were always so proud of your Irish heritage so I will close with an Irish blessing.
May the road rise to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sunshine warm upon your face.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the hollow of His hand.
Love Abby and Fred

Oh Uncle Mike you are so loved and will be missed by so many people. I have so many memories of you but I would have to say the one I’m most grateful for is how you always made the scared, lonely younger me feel safe, loved and included. You were a very special person and one of my heroes. I will keep you in my heart forever.
Aunt Julie, please accept my deepest condolences. I know my Uncle loves you very much. I remember when you two started dating he would come over and tell my mom all about you. As they were sitting at the table one day Uncle Mike told my mom that he was going to spend the rest of his life with you if you’d have him. I’m so glad he had you to love him.
Rest In Peace Uncle Mike. Until we meet again.
Love, Nellena

Dear Grandma and the whole family,
We will remember many things about Mike- his warm and mischievous smile, dinners with him around the table, him rooting for his favorite teams, times at the firehouse and especially Santa. He will be dearly missed but not forgotten. It will be difficult to not have him here, but know he is now at peace. Sending love and hugs especially to Grandma who Mike loved so much. RIP Mike ❤️❤️
Love,
Kim, Kyle & Aidan
