Obituary of Antonio Porporino

Porporino, Antonio age 66 of Hawthorne at rest in Paterson on February 1, 2022. Beloved husband of Stefania (nee Casale) Porporino. Loving father of Roberto Porporino and his fiancée Kate, Marina Porporino and her fiancé Nicholas and Stefano Porporino. Grandfather of Mila Porporino. Dear son of Emma Cianni and the late Roberto Porporino. Brother of Enzo Porporino and his wife Antoinetta, Carmela Zicca and her husband Franco, Gisella Porporino, Tullio Porporino and Cinzia Russo and her husband Enzo. Also survived by many nieces and nephews here and in Italy. Born in Cetraro, Prov. di Cosenza, Italy, he came to the United States in 1973 and settled in Hawthorne. He was the owner of Verdi Landscaping, Hawthorne, for thirty-two years. Prior to that he worked for Lembo Machine, Paterson for twenty-two years. He was a parishioner of St. Anthony R.C. Church, Hawthorne. He was an avid gardener and hunter and he enjoyed playing scopa with his Italian cards. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Monday at 9:15 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. Anthony's R.C. Church, Hawthorne at 10:00 AM. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. Friends may visit Sunday 3:00 - 7:00 PM.
