Obituary of Catherine A Hogel

Hogel, Catherine A. (nee Hummel), age 82 of Totowa at rest in Totowa on December 29, 2021. Beloved wife of the late Richard Hogel (1997). Loving mother of Janine Hogel of Clifton and Colleen Rodriguez & her husband Albert of Boonton. Dear Grandmother of Gabriella & Justin Rodriguez, Kaylyn Kessler & her husband Ryan, and Zachary Cheek. Devoted sister Karen Reiger of Illinois, Patricia Branigan of Hopatcong, and the late Elizabeth McBride, Mary Smit, and George Hummel. Dear sister-in-law of Roseann Iannucci and Nancy Hogel. Born in Teaneck, she lived in Totowa for the past 50 years. Catherine was a Registered Nurse beginning her career at Holy Name Hospital in Teaneck, then for Valley Rest Nursing Home, Totowa, where she worked for many years before retiring. She was a parishioner of St. James R.C. Church, Totowa and a member of its Rosary Altar Society. She was a former CCD teacher at St. James along with her husband, teaching confirmation classes. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Monday at 9:00 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. James RC Church, Totowa at 9:30 AM. Interment at Calvary Cemetery, Paterson. Friends may visit Sunday 2:00-6:00 PM.
