Frances L. Ariola (Scheppe) "Fran" age 97 of Totowa at rest in Fairfield on April 5, 2021. Beloved wife of Donald J. Ariola (deceased 2016). Loving mother of Frank D. Ariola of Totowa and Don T. Ariola and his wife Carol of Poughkeepsie, NY. Dear grandmother of Jennifer and her husband Sam, Jeffrey and his wife Tara, Justin and his wife Teresa, Stephanie, Donnie and his wife Amanda and Anthony and his wife Ilicia. Great Grandmother of Alyssa, Nicholas, Jake, Wyatt, Alex, Samuel, Vincent, Isabella, Jonathan, Jaxson, Asilin, and Logan. Born in Summit, later moved to Paterson, married and moved to Totowa in 1949. She was a full time wife and mother as well as owner of Francine's Fashions in Totowa. She was a member of St. James R.C. Church, Totowa, the Women's Rosary Society and the Totowa Happy Seniors. Frances wrote letters to the servicemen of WW II, loved to dance (once tapped), and travel. She was the family peacemaker and a stylish dresser with a spunky spirit. If you didn't follow her advice you knew you would get "picky pocky on the coolie." Fran enjoyed going out to dinner at Frank's Italian Restaurant, Lincoln Park. Mom was happiest when surrounded by her family. Relatives and friends are invited to meet directly at St. James RC Church, 400 Totowa Road, Totowa on Friday at 10:00 AM for her funeral mass. Entombment to follow at Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum, Paterson. Visitation will be Thursday 4:00-8:00 PM at Festa Memorial Funeral Home 111 Union Blvd., Totowa. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 would be appreciated.
