Obituary of Valerie Ann Humphrey

Valerie Ann "Val" Humphrey (nee Adams), age 63 of New Brunswick at rest in New Brunswick on March 19, 2021. Beloved wife of 30 years to Donald R. Humphrey of New Brunswick. Cherished daughter of Joan and the late Herbert Adams. Loving "mother" of Bryan Baumann and his wife Lisa of Woodland Park. Daughter in law to the late Phillip Humphrey Sr. and his wife Pauline Humphrey. Loving sister of Bruce Adams of Paterson. Adored "sister" of Michelle Bolchune and her husband Michael of Little Falls. Loving sister-in-law of Phillip Humphrey Jr and his partner Sue of Hellenville, WI; Dr. Holly Humphrey-Follman and her husband Dr. Duane Follman of Hinsdale, IL; Richard Humphrey and his wife Chris of Whitewater, WI and the late Sally Humphrey formerly of Whitewater, WI. Adoring grandmother of Dylan and Mason. Godmother to Kristen, Joseph and Hannah. Loving aunt to Kendra, Sarah and Ben. She is also survived by many loving cousins, dear family and beloved friends.

Born and raised in Paterson, Valerie moved to New Brunswick after getting married. She was an auxiliary member of the American Legion Post 25 in Milltown since 1997 and worked as a parts specialist for Prevost Car, Inc. for 36 years. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, family vacations in Seaside Heights and anything that involved her grandchildren, nieces and nephews. This super-woman's selflessness and heart of gold was surpassed only by her extreme love for her family and friends. Her sense of humor paralleled only by her fight and her strength.

Relatives and friends may visit on Friday March 26th from 4-8 PM at Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa. Funeral service at Festa Memorial on Saturday March 27th at 8:30 AM immediately followed by the interment at Fair Lawn Memorial Cemetery, 22-21 Maple Ave, Fair Lawn.
