Obituary of Muriel D. Yarcich

Yarcich, Muriel D. (nee Walker) of Paterson died December 26, 2020 Predeceased by husband of 66 years William, parents Harry and Mary (nee Courtney) Walker, sisters Marian Graulich, Ruth Grauso, brother Donald Walker. Survived by son William (Arlene) Yarcich, Glen Allen, VA; daughters Muriel (Paul) Sheridan, Powhatan, VA; Eileen (Thomas) Morabito, Sebastopol, CA; grandchildren Amy Yarcich, Richmond, VA; Brian (Ayfer) Yarcich, Fort Wayne, IN; 4 Great grandchildren Gavin and Kylie Cox of Virginia; Max and Zoe Yarcich of Indiania; also survived by many nieces and nephews; dear friends Sharon Battaglino, Andrew Morabito and Rudy Morabito. Born in Paterson, she was a lifelong resident. Muriel was a Telephone Operator for NJ Bell Telephone Co., Paterson for 20 years retiring in 1980. She was also a field interviewer for the Bureau of Commerce, New York, NY for 10 years retiring in 1989. She was a parishioner of St. Mary's R.C. Church, Paterson and was a bingo worker there for over 30 years. She helped operate the parish pantry and was the past president of their Rosary-Altar Society. She was a member of the National Council of Catholic Women. Muriel was a girl scout leader for many years at the Paterson Avenue Methodist Church and was a volunteer for over 45 years at St. Josephs Wayne Hospital.
