Barbato, Joseph age 90 of Paterson at rest in Wayne on December 18, 2013. Beloved husband of Jennie (nee Cerrato) Barbato of Paterson. Loving Father of Mary Jane Barbato-Grauso and her husband Vincent of Dayton, MD. Grandfather of Adrienne and Kirsten Grauso. Brother of Rosaria Laura of Italy and the late Nicola Barbato. Brother-in-law of Carmela Barbato. Uncle of Anthony Barbato and his wife Kathy, Elaine Vigorita and her husband Mike, Amalia (Laura) and Antonetta (Laura). Cousin of Tobia Barbato and his wife Ninette of Staten Island, NY. Born in Montore Inferiore, Italy he came to the United States in 1950 and resided in Paterson. He was the owner of The Capri, Little Falls, after that he owned Joe's Pizzeria, Paterson for several years before retiring. Mr. Barbato was a parishioner of St. Bonaventure R.C. Church, Paterson. He was a member of the Totowa Seniors Club, and the Italian Club of Totowa. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Monday at 9:45 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. Bonaventure R.C. Church, Paterson at 10:15 AM. Entombment at Laurel Grove Mausoleum, Totowa. Friends may visit Sunday 4:00 - 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Heart Association, National Center, 7272 Greenville Avenue, Dallas Texas 75231 and/or the National Kidney Foundation of New York/ New Jersey, 30 East 33rd Street, 3rd Floor, NY, NY 10016-5337 would be appreciated.
