Obituary of Rose M Emolo

Emolo, Rose M. (nee Rago), age 92 of Paterson at rest in Wayne on March 1, 2020. Beloved wife of seventy two years to Frank J. "Butch" Emolo, Sr. of Paterson. Loving mother of Patricia De Blasio and her husband Mark of Paterson, Frank J. Emolo Jr. and his partner Gail Glogowski of Hawthorne and Bob Emolo and his wife Denise of Wayne. Dear grandmother of Jared Emolo and his wife Sindu, Dayna Emolo, Sean DeBlasio and his wife Kelly, Caitlin DeBlasio, Robert Emolo and Patrick Emolo. Great grandmother of Liam DeBlasio and Kai Emolo. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. Born in Mola di Bari, Prov. di Bari, Italy, she came to the U.S.A. in 1936 settling in Paterson. She was Co-owner with her husband of Park Avenue Liquors, Paterson, for thirty years before retiring in 1987. Prior to that, she was a Seamstress for various Coat Factories in Paterson. Mrs. Emolo was a parishiner of St. Gerard R.C. Church, Paterson. She attended St. Mary's bingo and the Boys & Girls' Club of Wayne bingo with Angie, Ida, and Betty. She enjoyed tending to her garden as well as enjoyed cooking for her family and friends. She hosted Thanksgiving for over 30 years. She loved listening to Perry Como, Frank Sinatra, and the Glen Miller Band. She also enjoyed dancing and Broadway shows. She enjoyed summer vacations in Wildwood with her family. Mrs. Emolo loved doting over her grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, on Wednesday at 10:00 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. Gerard R.C. Church, Paterson at 10:30 AM. Entombment to follow at Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum, Paterson. Friends may visit Wednesday from 9:00 - 10:00 AM.
