Obituary of Julia Gazzo

Julia Gazzo, 91 of Mountainhome, PA formerly of Belleville, NJ passed peacefully in the early morning hours of December 10th. She joins her husband Tom whom she dearly missed. Born in Newark, NJ on December 28, 1927 to Filomena and Vincent Dalesandro, she was the seventh of ten children. She graduated from central High School and joined her brother Joe at Tung-Sol supporting the war effort. After her marriage to Tom in October 1950 and raising two children, she returned to work in retail as a department manager in Bamberger's Newark and then a bookkeeper at Channel Lumber in Belleville, NJ, where she eventually retired. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, trying new recipes, and baking Italian delights. She especially enjoyed her trips to Disney World and Bermuda with her grandchildren. She treasured her family and will be dearly missed. She is forever in the hearts of her son Thomas and his wife Lisa (Ianzano) of Parsippany, NJ, daughter Mona Uathavikul and her husband Vichit of Cresco, PA; her four grandchildren Brian and Kelly Gazzo and Vincent and Julianna Uathavikul. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her grandson Justin Gazzo. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Friday at 9:45 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. Bonaventure R.C. Church, Paterson at 10:15 AM. Cremation at Cedar Lawn Crematory, Paterson. Friends may visit Thursday 4:00 PM- 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers donations to St Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 would be appreciated.
