Obituary of Wenceslao Sanabria

Sanabria, Wenceslao "Wes" age 84 of Wayne, at rest in Braselton, GA. on December 4, 2019. Beloved husband of sixty one years of the former Luz Pantojas of Wayne. Loving father of Melba Sanabria of Woodbridge, Mary Cavill of Wayne and the late Giovanni Sanabria (1961) and the late Noel Sanabria (1995). Also surviving are seven grandchildren, nine great- grandchildren and his beloved pet Poodle, Bella. Born in Las Piedras, Puerto Rico, he came to the mainland in 1959 settling in New York, NY before moving to Paterson and then Wayne. He was a Laborer for the Erie-Lackawanna Railroad, Newark for many years before retiring in 2000. Mr. Sanabria was a devout Christian. He was an avid NY Met fan. He enjoyed tending to his floral & vegetable gardens. He also loved to grill. He was the biggest jokester and had the kindest heart and would help anyone. He was an avid animal lover who rescued strays. Wenceslao cherished time spent with his family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service at the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, on Monday at 7:00 PM. Friends may visit Monday from 4:00 - 8:00 PM.
