Miko, Gay (nee Zigarelli), age 82 of Totowa formerly of Paterson at rest in Paterson on November 2, 2013. Devoted wife of the late Thomas Miko (2004). Beloved mother of the late Billy Huyler (1971). Dear daughter of the late Auggie and Connie (nee Elia) Zigarelli. Caring cousin of Freddy Iannacone and his wife Juliet, Anthony Spina and his wife Kathy, Carmel Kleinfeld, Barbara Hillman, Jack Spina and his wife Mary Jo, Annemarie Barbagallo and her husband Sal, Ernie Aquino and his Elaine, Patty Hill and her husband Jim, and Nick Elia and his wife Arlene. Longtime friend of Dolores and Richard Grosso. Doting godmother of Vicky Grosso. Born in Paterson, she lived in Paterson for most of her life before recently moving to Totowa. She was the Owner/Operator of Sloatsberg Inn, Sloatsberg, NY. After that, she worked for the Bonfire, Paterson before retiring. She was a parishioner of St. Gerard R.C. Church, Paterson. Gay was a dear friend to all who lived life to the fullest extent. In her later years she discovered the digital age and became an active social networker. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, on Wednesday at 9:30 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. Gerard R.C. Church, Paterson at 10:00 AM. Entombment at Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum, Paterson. Friends may visit Tuesday 4-8 PM.
