Liput, Kathleen M. (nee Emmetts) age 69 of Wayne at rest in La Paz, Mexico on October 22, 2013. Born in Paterson, she lived in Wayne for over 40 years. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Liput was an avid tennis player for over 40 years and played team tennis for Wayne Township. She was a Biker, Hiker, Skier, Platform Tennis Player, Ice Skater, and was certified in CPR and was a volunteer for the Wayne Fire Department. She was a Scuba Diver who dove in the Red Sea, the Caribbean Sea, the Gulf of Mexico, the Atlantic Ocean, and the tank at EPCOT Center in Disney World. She was a Lodge Officer for High Life Ski Club and a member for 23 years. She was a loving grandmother who spent many hours reading and playing with her grandchildren. She was a great cook who would put out meals for 52 people on a Ski-New Years Party at her ski club in Vermont. She loved the beach & the jersey shore. She loved to dance into the night and enjoyed trips to Europe, South America, Canada, Caribbean Islands, and Mexico. She liked driving Big SUV's. Beloved wife of Robert W. Liput. Sister of Jack Emmetts. Stepmother of Robert Liput, John Liput, and Michael Liput. Mother of Michael Konzelman, Kevin Konzelman, and Susan Majors. Also survived by 5 grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services at the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Sunday at 3:30 PM. Committal will be private.
