Obituary of Alba Diane Pitea

Pitea, Alba Diane age 96 of Paterson at rest in Wayne on June 5, 2018. Loving aunt of Denice Shadiack and her husband Louis of Paterson, Janice Lagard and her husband Wim of Vernon, and Jackie Osborne and her husband David of Andover Township. Great aunt of Michael Shadiack and his wife Generosa of Roxbury, Jason Lagard of Vernon, and Danielle Dinallo and her husband David of Toms River. Great-great aunt of Louis, Anthony, and Rocco Shadiack and Cecelia and Natalie Dinallo. Dear sister in law of Katherine Pitea and the late Gladys Pitea and the late Margaret Pitea. Alba is predeceased by her siblings, Grace Mangine, Joseph Pitea, Hugo Pitea, and Nino and his wife Shirley Pitea, and parents, Jack and Josephine Pitea. Born in Elmwood Park, she lived in Elmwood Park for about 20 years before moving to Paterson over 70 years ago. She was a Seamstress for Various Factories in Clifton and Paterson for fifty years before retiring around 1976. Ms. Pitea was a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union for over fifty years as well as the 19 Hearts Charity Organization. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service at the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, on Monday at 10:30 AM. Interment at Laurel Grove Memorial Park, Totowa. Friends may visit Sunday 4:00-8:00 PM.
