Iozzio, Phyllis H. (nee Sordo), age 93 of Hawthorne at rest in Wayne on March 11, 2017. Beloved wife of fifty two years of the late Salvatore Iozzio (1995). Loving Mother of Michele Deal and her husband Richard of Wayne, Ron Iozzio and his wife Marlene of Little Falls and the late Larry Iozzio (1996). Dear grandmother of Marcie De Marco, Ron Iozzio and Matthew Iozzio. Great grandmother of Shauni Helmlinger, Anthony De Marco, Alex Iozzio and Will Iozzio. Born in Paterson, she has lived in Hawthorne since 1951. She was a Homemaker. Mrs. Iozzio was a Parishioner of St. Paul R.C. Church, Prospect Park. She was a member of the Third Order of St. Francis, St. Bonaventure R.C. Church, Paterson. She held a U.S. Patent for dog rain jackets. She enjoyed the Jersey Shore. She was an avid reader and a very spiritual person. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, on Friday at 10:00 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. Paul R.C. Church, Prospect Park at 10:30 AM. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. Relatives and friends may visit Thursday from 4:00 - 8:00 PM.
