Obituary of Jack Breiner

Breiner, Jack age 84 of Wayne at rest in Livingston on August 11, 2016. Devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. On August 11th, Jack Breiner lost his third battle with cancer at St. Barnabas Medical Center. He is survived by his loving wife of forty-six years Connie (nee Lampariello) Breiner, beloved sons Nicholas and John Scott Breiner, brother Ben Breiner, and four grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents Ida and Louis Breiner, and his brothers Henry and Jerome Breiner. Previously of Newark, Hillside, and Belleville, Jack was a proud US Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War (1952-1954) who then served forty years with Gross & Hecht Trucking as a driver and member of the Teamsters. Admired and respected by his peers, he logged almost 3 million miles driving big rigs and truly loved every minute of it. Jack was a soft spoken gentleman who enjoyed the simple things in life - a good meal, a NY Giants victory and being surrounded by his loved ones. The world was a better place because of him. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Monday at 9:00 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. James R.C. Church, Totowa at 9:30 AM. Cremation at Laurel Grove Cemetery, Totowa. Friends may visit Sunday 3:00 - 7:00 PM.
