Obituary of George Novak

Novak, George age 88 of Woodland Park at rest in Wayne on June 26, 2016. Beloved husband of Marie (nee Agens) Novak. Loving father of George S. Novak and his wife Elaine, Tracy Criger and her fiance Tony Buffalino and Donna Sabatino and her husband Anthony. Brother of Joseph Novak and Michael Novak. Grandfather of Nicholas, Mark, Kyle, Matthew, Michael, Anthony and Adrianna. Born in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, he lived most of his life in Totowa before moving to Woodland Park 9 years ago. He was an Electronic Engineer for RCA, Harrison. After that, he was an Electronic Engineer for Singer-Kearfott, Wayne, before retiring. George graduated from the University of Pittsburgh. He was a peacetime Navy veteran. He was a member of St. Michael's Byzantine Catholic Cathedral, Woodland Park and was a master gardener in Wayne. He was also a member of the Passaic Valley Board of Education and coached PAL Baseball in Totowa. George was an avid Yankee and Giants Fan and enjoyed golfing. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Friday at 9:30 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. Michael's Byzantine Catholic Cathedral, Woodland Park at 10:00 AM. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. Friends may visit Thursday 5-8 PM.
