Obituary of Immaculate Sorrentino

Sorrentino, Immaculate "Emma" (nee Agrusti), age 89 of Totowa at rest in Cedar Grove on May 20, 2016. Beloved wife of sixty eight years of Alfred S. Sorrentino of Totowa. Loving mother of Alfred Sorrentino Jr. and his wife Nancy of Lincoln Park and Philip Sorrentino and his wife Elizabeth of Lincoln Park. Dear grandmother of Christa Rizzo and her husband Anthony, Philip Sorrentino and his fiancée Leigh, Alfred Sorrentino and Anthony Sorrentino. Great grandmother of Anthony Rizzo. Sister of the late Joseph Agrusti. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Born in the Bronx, N.Y., she has lived in Totowa since 1955. She was a Secretary for the North Jersey Training School, Totowa for twenty two years before retiring in 1987. Mrs. Sorrentino was a parishioner of St. James R.C. Church, Totowa and was a member of the Rosary-Altar Society there. She was a former Den Mother for the Cub Scouts of America sponsored by St. James. She was a member of Our Lady of Pompeii Seniors as well as the Totowa Seniors. She was a member of the Golden Agers and she was a great cook. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa on Tuesday at 9:00 AM. Funeral mass to follow at St. James R.C. Church, Totowa at 9:30 AM. Interment at Calvary Cemetery, Paterson. Relatives and friends may visit on Monday from 4-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Sisters of Charity, C/O St. Vincents Nursing Home, 315 Lindsley Road, Cedar Grove, N.J. 07009 would be greatly appreciated.
