Obituary of James J Keeley

Keeley, James J. age 79 of Totowa at rest in Paterson on February 4, 2016. Beloved husband of the former Elizabeth M. Quinlan of Totowa. Loving father of James Keeley of Totowa, Ray Keeley of Totowa, Judith Melani & her husband, Michael of Wayne and the late Thomas Keeley. Dear brother of John Keeley & his wife, Elizabeth Joan of Pennsylvania, Mildred Moriggia of New York State and the late Dorothy Keeley, Patricia Faro, Eleanor Robins and William Keeley. Devoted grandfather of Stephanie, Michael, Steven, Heather, Shannon, & Kevin Keeley, Erin Zarra and Thomas Melani. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Born in New York City, New York to James J. Keeley and Mildred (Lawton) Keeley, he moved to Totowa in 1969. He was a Master Plumber and owner of James J. Keeley Plumbing and Heating. After that, he was the lead plumber for Montclair Public Schools before retiring 14 years ago. Mr. Keeley was a parishioner of St. James R.C. Church, Totowa. He was a life member of the Lincoln Fire Company for over 40 years and was still an active fireman with the Borough of Totowa. He was a Korean War Veteran and a member of the American Legion Post #227, Totowa. He was a member of the Tri-Boro Master Plumbers Association and was also a past member of the DoGood House of Totowa. He belonged to the Totowa Boro Republican Club. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Monday at 8:45 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. James RC Church, Totowa at 9:30 AM. Entombment at Laurel Grove Cemetery Mausoleum, Totowa. Friends may visit Sunday 12:00 pm- 4:00 pm.
