Obituary of Georg F. Kattermann

Kattermann, Georg F. age 85 of Wayne passed away at home on January 21, 2016. Beloved husband of 54 years to the late Anna (nee Altmannshofer) (2012). Loving father of George W. Kattermann & his wife Ann of Pine Brook. Dear Grandfather of Karl, Erik, and Max Katterman. Loving Companion of Charlotte Garant and her children Bruce Garant and his wife, Virginia and Mark Garant and his wife, Michelle. Also surviving are stepmother Roswitha Kattermann (age 95) and her family of Arada, Colorado, Georg's younger brother Fred with wife Kathleen and family of Wantage NJ, and youngest brother Dietrich with wife Frances and family of Jackson Springs, North Carolina. Remaining close are the family of Georg's older sister Irmtraut (Kattermann) Ritter (passed in 2008). They are husband Josef Ritter with children and grandchildren living in Germany. Born in Munich, Germany, he came to the United States in 1956 residing in Sussex before moving to Wayne in 1969. He worked in Skilled Trades, a Machine Shop, Welding and Machine Assembly before retiring in 1990. In his retirement, he enjoyed walking, golf, and bowling with his family. At his request, there will be no viewing and interment services were private. In lieu of flowers, consider donations to the Salvation Army or the Disabled American Veterans.
