Obituary of Josephine A Smith

Smith, Josephine A. (nee Galata), age 90 of Totowa at rest in Paterson on September 9, 2015. Beloved wife of the late Daniel C. Smith. Loving mother of Daniel J. Smith and his wife Lynn of Columbia, SC and the late Donald C. Smith. Dear grandmother of Jake and Shannon. Loving companion of Joe Sloane of Little Falls. She was predeceased by three sisters. Born in Newark, she lived in Totowa for most of her life. She was an Executive Secretary for Chronos Richardson Scale Co., Clifton, for twenty years before retiring in 1990. She was a member and secretary of the Totowa Happy Seniors. She was a member of the Leisure Club of Clifton, and A.A.R.P of Clifton. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service on Sunday at 2:00 PM. Cremation was private at the request of the family. Friends may visit Sunday from 2-4 PM.
