Uncle Bill and his mushrooms

Charles M Rosato posted a condolence

They tell me I was raised in a rough neighborhood. I did not realize it because I was surrounded by Aunts, Uncles and Cousins who were loving and so protective. A large part of my childhood in the 50’s was Uncle Bill and Aunt Rose. The memories are deep and vivid.
My memories of Uncle Bill are everlasting and a huge part of my life…
Screaming with delight while Uncle Bill entertained the kids at family functions with his card tricks, using Cousins Tommy and Michael as accomplices making us believe he was a great mind reader. Play dates with Billy and Sandy. Sleepovers at Jefferson Place, waking up Uncle Bill and Aunt Rose early by banging pots and pans while parading throughout the house. Fourth of July at Cold Springs Lake and Uncle Bill packing us all in the back of his Ford station wagon for an adventure.
My deepest condolences to all.
Charlie

My dear Uncle, you were also my mentor and biggest fan. I have loved every minute of knowing you. I have leaned on you for guidance often. I thank you for always being willing to share your experience with me. Together we had a special bond which cannot be broken. I love you.
